Rebecca Brodoff, Psy.D.
Staff Psychologist
I graduated magna cum laude and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Union College. I received my doctoral degree in clinical psychology from Widener University. My pre-doctoral internships were at KeyStone Center, an inpatient hospital serving adults with substance use and co-occurring disorders, and Child Guidance Resource Center, the largest provider of children’s mental health services in the greater Philadelphia area. At both sites, I provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I completed my post-doctoral fellowship at Center for Anxiety (CFA), a group practice in New York City, where I worked with children, adolescents and adults implementing CBT and comprehensive DBT. After completing my post-doctoral fellowship at CFA, I became a staff psychologist at CFA and a clinical supervisor, where I continued to provide clinical services as well as clinical supervision to master’s level clinicians and doctoral students. I eventually served as the Clinical Director of CFA’s Brooklyn office.
I strongly believe in using evidence-based treatments and have completed trainings in a variety of treatment modalities. I have received training in CBT from the Beck Institute, with a specific focus in treating anxiety disorders (panic disorder and agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder) as well as using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder. I have completed extensive training in the use of DBT offered by Behavioral Tech, LLC, and Nachas Consulting which was led by two world-renowned DBT clinicians and trainers, Dr. Charlie Swenson and Dr. Jill Rathus. I have also received training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) from Kurtz Psychology and am a certified PCIT therapist by PCIT International.
