Jessica Lubitz, Psy.D., Staff Psychologist
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the use of CBT with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, insomnia, grief, and work and relationship stress. I aim to provide an empathic and collaborative environment to help my clients reach their therapeutic goals and gain a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how these impact their day-to-day lives. Furthermore, my clients will learn and practice tools they can use to work through difficult life circumstances and effect positive change in their lives that lasts beyond the course of therapy.
My background includes extensive experience and training working with a variety of clients, allowing me to modify treatment to each client’s needs and preferences. I graduated magna cum laude from Lehigh University with a major in psychology. I then received my doctorate in clinical psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Throughout graduate school, I received specialized training working with individuals through a CBT framework. Additionally, I completed research at Beth Israel/Mt Sinai on factors that make clients dissatisfied with treatment and leave treatment early. Following a residency at Kings County Hospital, I completed a fellowship in geriatric psychology at the Veteran Affairs Hospital in Brooklyn.
